The wedding quaich is a personalized quaich saying the names of the bride and groom and the date of the wedding. The Quaich is a traditional Scottish drinking cup and a symbol of welcome and friendship. It is a simple drinking vessel and was used by crofters and lairds alike. It was offered to all who came to the croft or castle and was used for whisky or brandy. Over the years it has kept its simple but beautiful shape and friendly purpose – as a welcome or farewell cup used by one and all.
